Job summary

Swan Aquatics seeks a Facility Supervisor for the Kirtland AFB Aquatic Center in Albuquerque, NM. The role oversees lifeguard staffing, safety, and daily operations, including scheduling, budget management, and COR coordination, with on-site presence for three daily sessions.

The position is full-time, salaried, and eligible for Swan Aquatics' benefits, with on-base requirements and on-site responsibilities. Certification and training support are provided.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification from American Red Cross, StarGuard ELITE, or Ellis & Associates.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and standard First Aid.
• Previous experience in a pool management or supervisory role.
• 18+ years old minimum.
• Must pass a background check for base access.
• Swim test: 300-yard swim, 2-minute tread, and a 10-lb brick retrieval from 7 ft in under 1:40.

Responsibilities

• Opens the facility by 5:00AM and tests and logs water chemistry 30-60 minutes before opening.
• Confirms three certified lifeguards are present and briefed before each session.
• Ensures patrons sign the Government log before entering water.
• Maintains pool cleanliness and equipment daily.
• Inspects and logs safety equipment and water temperatures.
• Handles emergencies and notifies the COR, logs incidents.
• Closes the facility after the last session and delivers the sign-in log.
• Uses downtime for scheduling, training, and records.
