Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification with CPR/AED for professional rescuers is required.
• First aid and safety certifications are highly recommended.
• WSI or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the aquatic facility and assist with basic upkeep.
• Monitor pool and deck areas to ensure patron safety.
• Educate guests on pool rules and safety guidelines.
• Identify and remove potential safety hazards.
• Complete required records and incident documentation.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Arrive on time and be prepared for shifts.
• Communicate effectively with lifeguards, supervisors, and staff.
• Participate in required trainings and staff meetings.

Education

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

YMCA Lifeguard Certification with ASHI CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

Standard First Aid Certification (Bloodborne Pathogens)

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent
