Job summary

New Start SLS is hiring Life Skills Coaches to support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and community in Placerville and Shingle Springs. Positions include weekend and on-call coverage with Placerville high-support hours and IHSS-related shifts in Shingle Springs.

Responsibilities include helping with daily skills, budgeting, meals, transportation, appointments, volunteering, and social activities, all under person-centered planning.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily skills and activities.
• Menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting and meal preparation.
• Help with transportation, appointments, volunteering, and social activities.
• Document daily notes and adhere to care and medication processes.
• Provide in-home and community-based assistance as per service plans.
