Job summary

New Start SLS in Citrus Heights is seeking compassionate part-time evening and on-call support staff to assist adults with developmental disabilities in-home and in the community. This role offers potential for additional hours and on-call opportunities, with preference for female staff per client request.

Responsibilities include daily living support, meal planning, transportation and appointment coordination, and ongoing documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Complete and Maintain a Satisfactory DOJ LiveScan Background Check.
• Provide evidence of a Negative TB Test and a Clear Physical in the last year.
• Provide proof of current CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting individuals with learning daily skills and activities.
• Menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting, and cleaning.
• Using public transportation and attending appointments.
• Volunteering and participating in social leisure activities.
• Documenting daily charting notes and following medication administration processes.
• Providing transportation support with a valid CA driver’s license and insurance.
