Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis (Downtown Campus) seeks a Part-Time Life Sciences Tutor for the TRIO Student Support Services program. The role provides in-person and virtual tutoring, 1-on-1 sessions, and group study sessions to life science students.

Ideal candidates have strong biology background and customer-service focus, with ability to explain concepts clearly, maintain FERPA-compliant records, and use Canvas/Zoom for instruction. This is 10 hours/week for 30 weeks.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in life science subjects including biology and chemistry.
• Ability to tutor and explain concepts to diverse learners.
• Experience using learning management systems and virtual tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 tutoring in life sciences and related courses.
• Lead group tutoring and study sessions; assist with TEAS prep as needed.
• Document tutoring sessions and maintain FERPA-compliant records.
