Job summary

Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital in Gibraltar, MI seeks a Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join a collaborative team. The role offers 2–3 days per week with rotating Saturdays, requiring 2–4 years of veterinary experience and a current LVT credential.

Cornerstone experience is a plus, with a focus on high-quality patient care. You will perform venipuncture, administer medications, assist with surgeries and maintain records in a supportive hospital environment that values

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required
• 2–4 years veterinary experience required
• Experience in a busy hospital environment preferred
• Familiarity with Cornerstone PM software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Collect, prepare and run laboratory samples
• Administer medications, vaccinations and treatments as directed
• Perform subcutaneous and intravenous fluid therapy
• Monitor patient vital signs
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics and treatments
• Provide dental prophylaxis and radiography
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia and monitoring
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery
• Conduct in-house diagnostics including cytology
• Maintain medical records and treatment documentation
• Educate clients on medications, nutrition and follow-up care
• Provide Fear Free patient handling
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
• Support the veterinary team as needed
