Job summary

Goodison Veterinary Center in Rochester, MI is seeking a compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing small-animal practice. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your clinical skills and team mindset will make a meaningful impact every day.

You will assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics and surgeries, monitor anesthesia, administer medications, collect lab samples, maintain medical records, and educate pet owners on care and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Current LVT license in Michigan or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics and surgeries.
• Monitor anesthesia and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Administer medications, treatments and vaccinations.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house testing.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records.
• Communicate care instructions to pet owners and follow-up.
• Support daily clinic operations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
