Job summary

Aliquippa School District seeks a Part-Time Licensed School Social Worker for Aliquippa Jr/Sr High School. This 10-month, 20–25 hour/week role reports to the Director of Student Services and Building Principal.

The role provides social-emotional support, addresses barriers to learning, and coordinates services for truancy prevention, McKinney-Vento homelessness, and community resources. Requirements: MSW and PA School Social Worker certification or PA LSW/LCSW license; school-aged child

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• PA School Social Worker PK-12 Certification or PA LSW/LCSW license.
• Experience with school-aged children, truancy laws and McKinney-Vento regulations.
• Strong communication, case management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention to students.
• Monitor attendance concerns and conduct enrichment conferences as needed.
• Serve as McKinney-Vento liaison for homeless students and enrollments.
• Connect families with community resources and coordinate services.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors and outside agencies.
