Job summary

Town of Dracut is seeking a part-time Library Assistant – Technical Services to prepare, catalog, and process materials for circulation. You will also assist at reference and circulation desks and may supervise volunteers as needed.

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with patrons, and the ability to work with limited supervision. CORI/background checks and drug screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; library experience or customer service helpful.
• Experience with cataloging, processing, and classification is desired.
• Ability to work with patrons and perform routine library duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, classify, and catalog library materials for circulation.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and maintain records.
• Assist at reference and circulation desks as needed.
• Occasionally supervise volunteers and support staff.
• Perform other duties related to technical services as required.
