Maricopa County Library District in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to provide routine customer service, process library cards, and help patrons locate resources. You will support circulation services, assist with online accounts, and maintain displays.

Evening and weekend availability, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and bilingual Spanish/English are valued assets. Two years of customer service experience and a high school diploma are required; post-secondary education

Formación

• Two years of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education may substitute.
• Experience with Polaris ILS and library databases is valued.

Responsabilidades

• Issues, verifies, and renews library cards for customers.
• Informs customers of their account status and answers basic reference questions.
• Resolves customer concerns by phone, in person, or online.
• Initiates search for materials claimed returned.
• Processes library materials for shelving and routing.
• Performs opening or closing duties as assigned.
• Assists with the maintenance and display of the collection.
• Assists customers with the use of a self-service payment kiosk.
