Job summary

Maricopa County Library District seeks a part-time Library Page for the North Valley Regional Library. You will help keep materials in order, assist with routine clerical tasks, and support day-to-day operations to ensure a welcoming library environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and write in English, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends at a library campus location. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Public contact and/or library experience is valued.
• Experience filing alphabetically is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, shelves, and files library materials accurately according to the library classification system.
• Reads shelves for accuracy and reshelves misplaced items; shifts materials as assigned.
• Unpacks and packs boxes of books and other library materials.
• Performs routine support tasks and maintains the appearance of work and public areas.
• Locates and retrieves materials for staff or library users.
• Checks in library materials using the computerized library system.
• Answers directional questions and refers customers to staff as needed.
• Delivers exceptional customer service following the Library District’s standards.
