Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any academic area.
• General knowledge of computers, internet and library research.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to answer telephone, email and chat inquiries and scheduling library instruction sessions.
• Ability to use the library catalog and databases.
• Ability to use computer software, especially Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Staff the reference desk as scheduled.
• Assist students with class assignments and reference questions using online databases and/or print resources, including the library catalog.
• Provide assistance to Reference Librarians with reference tasks as needed.
