Job summary

Salina Public Library is hiring a part-time Clerk to provide exceptional customer service and assist patrons with various needs. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

The ideal candidate will work approximately 13-16 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include assisting patrons, operating library technology, and maintaining organized library materials.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sort, clean, and repair returned materials.
• Issue library cards and answer account-related questions.
• Collect payments and perform drawer reconciliation.
• Operate technology and navigate library software.
• Maintain organized library spaces and enforce policies.
