Job summary

Auburn Public Library in Auburn, MA seeks a detail-oriented Library Associate to join a collaborative team. You will staff the busy circulation desk, help patrons with inquiries, and assist with basic tech troubleshooting.

The role is part-time (19.5 hours/week), with afternoons/evenings Mon–Thu and Saturdays. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience are required, with opportunity to contribute to programs and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional work experience, preferably in a busy public setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to patron service.
• Able to pivot between tasks and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Staff the circulation desk and assist patrons with library inquiries.
• Provide some technology troubleshooting support to patrons.
• Support staff in developing and presenting library programs and services.
