The Bergenfield Public Library is seeking an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our busy Lending Services Department. You will assist patrons at the checkout desk, process renewals and fines, answer phones, and help locate materials.

Flexibility with shifts is required, including Sundays, with occasional weekday fill-ins. Strong computer skills are essential and multi-language abilities are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Direct patron assistance at checkout desk (checkout, discharging, renewal, patron registration, settling fines, etc.).
• Answer phones and assist patrons with locating materials in catalog and on shelves.
• Light lifting; packing for interlibrary loan deliveries; other duties as required.
