Part-time lecturer pool – Industrial Technology (AY 26/27). APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assignments in industrial automation and manufacturing technologies (e.g., CAD/CAM, basic PLC and robot programming, setup/operation of CNC mills and lathes), industrial power systems, industrial safety and quality program leadership, product design and development (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, ArtiosCAD, KeyShot, Rhinoceros, prototyping, sketching, rendering), supply chain management and logistics, operations planning and control, lean six sigma, commercialization of new technologies, and professional technical selling.
• Assignments are contingent upon class availability, scheduling, budget and enrollments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Design, Engineering, or related discipline. Demonstrated currency in the professional field through ongoing work, training, or engagement with industry trends. Substantial and relevant industry experience showing depth of knowledge and practical application in the field.
• Preferred Qualifications: M.S., MBA, or Ph.D. degree in Technology, Engineering or related discipline. Exception may occur with the consent of the area’s tenured and probationary faculty.
