Candidates may teach courses that ranges from premodern to contemporary Korean society, literature, intellectual history, and culture.
Winter quarter service period: 1/4/2027-3/19/2027

Spring quarter service period: 3/24/2027-6/11/2027
Spring quarter pay period: 4/1/2027-6/30/2027
The annual full-time teaching load is eight courses per year with a full-time annual starting salary of $73,817 ($9,227 per course). The total salary for a one-course appointment for first-time lecturers in the Department of East Asian Studies is $9,227.
