Job summary

Job Summary

1. ART EDUCATION

a. Offer comprehensive training on the curriculum and instructional expectations of the art education courses she teaches, including gaining a thorough understanding of the edTPA requirements.

b. Additionally, cultivate and strengthen professional relationships with art educators at nearby K-12 schools to support collaboration and student‑teacher placements.

2. ART COMPETITION / TROJAN ART DAY

a. Develop and implement a strategic plan to sustain and enhance the district and state art competitions for District 2, formerly known as the Visual Arts Achievement Program, ensuring continued student participation, recognition, and recruitment events.

b. Continue coordinating, planning, and organizing preparations for next year’s Trojan Art Day, with an emphasis on expanding student engagement, showcasing the Art & Design faculty and facilities, and promoting the visual arts outside the school community.

3. VISUAL ARTS & MENTORING

a. Provide guidance, training, and ongoing supervision for Mr. Moore as he assumes additional teaching responsibilities in Visual Arts courses, supporting effective instruction in both in-person and online learning environments.

b. Support the mentoring and professional development of new teachers, including Karvarus Moore and a newly hired instructor in the printmaking and drawing position, to ensure a successful transition and continued instructional excellence.
