Job summary

Barker Management Incorporated is seeking a Leasing Coordinator - PT to join our operations team at Santa Rosa Garden, Santa Rosa, CA. The role supports site operations for assigned developments and reports to the Regional Manager.

You will handle referrals, tours, qualify applicants, prepare leases, coordinate move-ins, and maintain resident files. This is a part-time, day-shift role with a 10:00 am–4:00 pm schedule, Monday–Thursday, and includes paid sick and vacation time.

Qualifications

• Require professional demeanor and a positive attitude, leadership skills and high integrity with proven track record and results driven.
• Prior property management experience in a professional and fast-paced environment is a must.
• Someone who loves face to face selling, has customer service skills, has public relations; is detail oriented and organized.
• Also, has the ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers and management.
• Must be computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle, track, and follow-up on all referrals, walk-ins, and phone inquiries. Focus on basic leasing techniques including telephone inquiries, greeting, qualifying, demonstrating, over-coming objections, closing the sale and follow up.
• Effectively market and lease apartments in a professional and friendly manner. Tour apartments, model unit and community amenities with clients; discuss all features and benefits of the apartment community and each apartment home.
• Know and understand the lease agreement, related documents, community rules and regulations; and the affecting Landlord-Tenant code, laws and ordinances affecting the marketing and leasing of the property. Maintain constant awareness and compliance to the Fair Housing Laws.
• Know and understand property standards and polices for concessions, lease terms, corporate leases, unit down time, deposits, pet policy, phone presentations, touring guidelines, office paperwork, credit approvals, etc.
• Develop and maintain a complete resident lease file for each rental to include all items reference on the resident File Checklist.
• Communicate daily with Maintenance personal regarding apartment inspections for make ready status. Notify Maintenance of move-in/move out dates.
• Supports the overall marketing efforts and offers input and suggestions in regard to promotions, advertisement, etc.
