Job summary

East Greenwich Township School District is seeking a Part-Time (.6) Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant to conduct evaluation planning meetings and provide educational assessments for referred and classified children. You will design, implement and monitor individualized education programs while coordinating with families and school staff.

The role requires NJ LDTC certification, a Bachelor's in Education (or related) and a Master's Degree.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
• Effective problem-solving, human relations and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data information systems and action plans.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluation planning meetings and educational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Provide case management services per assigned caseload.
• Consult with team members, parents and teachers to design and monitor individualized education programs.
• Assist teachers in developing and implementing effective pedagogy to maximize student growth.
