Job summary

Gloucester Township Public Schools seeks an interim Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) for Ann Mullen Middle School. The role involves designing instructional strategies, serving as an educational consultant, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support students with learning disabilities.

The position requires a Master’s degree or higher in education/LD, three years of classroom teaching, and LDTC certification eligibility; salary is based on the district long-term

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or learning disabilities from an approved program.
• Three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Holds or is eligible for an LDTC Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates instructional staff development through designing strategies and in-service experiences.
• Acts as educational consultant translating assessment data into instructional plans.
• Conducts educational assessments to determine learning characteristics.
• Develops individualized instructional guides translating data into methods.
• Prepares and submits screening reports and learning evaluations.
• Participates in child study team discussions and educational planning.
• Monitors follow-up of educational plans and evaluates program effectiveness.
• Disseminates current instructional information to staff and parents.
