Job summary

FMC Ice Sports is seeking Lead Instructors to work with the Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs in our Fall River facilities. You will interact with children and adults, demonstrate skating techniques, and help with program documentation. This is a part-time role with afternoon, evening, and weekend opportunities.

Applicants should be able to skate proficiently; prior teaching or assisting skating classes is preferred. Training and progression through instructor levels are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting or teaching skating classes preferred.
• Must be able to ice skate proficiently.
• Figure skaters should have ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4+; Hockey players with multiple years of league play.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and adults during lessons and programs.
• Demonstrate proper skating techniques to participants.
• Prepare and complete program documents (attendance, recommendations, etc.).
• Enforce rink rules and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patrons and staff.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
