Job summary

ASM Global is seeking a Head Gymnastics Team Coach to lead the Girls USAG Team under supervision of the Gymnastics Coordinator. This part-time role emphasizes safe, structured practices, competition prep, and positive athlete development.

You will coach during practices and events, adapt methods to skill levels, and collaborate with staff to maintain a disciplined, inclusive team culture while upholding safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CPR certification.
• Certified Instructor (USAG/USTA) or equivalent.
• Must have working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology, and training principles.
• Must have working knowledge of gymnastics teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, technique, and rhythm.
• Previous gymnastics/tumbling/trampoline teaching or coaching experience.
• Professional demeanor and ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead structured team practices focused on skill development, strength, flexibility, and routine preparation.
• Coach athletes during practices, competitions, and events.
• Adapt coaching techniques to accommodate varying skill levels and individual athlete needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes and parents regarding updates and announcements.
• Coordinate and prepare athletes for competitions, including routines and expectations.
• Maintain equipment safety and report maintenance needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture.
