Job summary

Patch Caregiving, Inc. is seeking a kind, motivated Lead Teacher for our Arlington, TX site. This part-time role covers day shifts ~10 am–5 pm, Monday and Friday, caring for children aged 2–12. You will lead activities, implement curriculum, and communicate with parents to ensure a safe, engaging environment.

You’ll manage a play-based room, maintain space safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with the Center Director and team. Flexible scheduling is noted; some weeks may vary.”

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year as Lead Teacher in daycare/preschool or similar setting required.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning.
• Experience with diapering for toddlers.
• Support toilet training and positive guidance for children.
• Strong communication with children and parents.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience.
• Comfort with digital tools for parent/staff communication.
• First Aid & CPR certification required or able to obtain before start date.
• Some sites may require drug testing, TB testing, and immunization records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children in care room.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and manage group dynamics.
• Communicate regularly with parents and handle emergencies calmly.
• Plan and implement curriculum and hands-on activities.
• Maintain records, paperwork, and a clean, organized space.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and the Center Director.
• Participate in ongoing training and enrollment/outreach events.
