Job summary

Patch Caregiving is seeking a part-time Lead Teacher to manage a play-based, multi-age care room for children ages 2-12 at our Lathrop, CA site. You will lead activities, deliver curriculum, communicate with parents, and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging space.

Shifts run Monday-Thursday roughly 10:00 am–5:30 pm with variability in start times. This role requires at least 1 year as a Lead Teacher in daycare/preschool, strong communication skills, and First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience as Lead Teacher in day care/preschool setting.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children in the care room.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and manage group dynamics with empathy and skill.
• Communicate regularly with parents and handle emergencies calmly.
• Plan and implement curriculum and hands-on activities.
• Maintain records, paperwork, and a clean, organized space.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and the Center Director.
• Participate in ongoing training and occasional enrollment/outreach events.
