Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time Special Education Instructor to deliver one-to-one instruction in our Illinois center, using the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and accommodations based on IEPs. LBS1 and a Bachelor's degree are required, along with fingerprinting for a federal background check.

The ideal candidate has experience with ASD, ED or SLD programs. Our 1:1 teaching model minimizes planning and grading, letting you focus on the student.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and an LBS1 certification.
• Ability to work in a one-to-one setting.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their needs and learning styles.
• Provide accommodations and modifications based on IEPs.
• Minimize planning and grading to focus on the student progress.
