Brightmont Academy, founded in 1999, delivers one-to-one instruction for students from 1st to 12th grade across 27 campuses nationwide. We are seeking a Part Time Special Education Instructor to join our team with a flexible schedule and no required lesson planning or outside work.

The role uses APEX Learning with IEP-based accommodations; the ideal candidate has an LBS1 certification and a Bachelor's degree and thrives in ASD/ED/SLD settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and an LBS1 certification.
• Patience & Empathy: you understand every student learns differently and you support them.
• Heart for Teaching: a genuine passion to share your subject with students.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints and pass a federal background check (AZ, WA only).

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one instruction using provided curriculum (APEX Learning) with IEP-based accommodations.
• Adapt lessons to ASD, ED, and/or SLD needs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a case manager and focus on the individual student in the classroom.
• Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
