Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part Time Special Education Instructor to provide one-to-one learning using the APEX curriculum. This role focuses on individual student support under the IEP, with no need for outside lesson planning.

The candidate will work in classrooms across our Saint Charles area campuses, collaborating with a case manager to concentrate on the learner. Ideal applicants hold an LBS1, a Bachelor's degree, and experience with ASD/ED/SLD programs, plus proficiency with G-Suite

• Bachelor's Degree and an LBS1 certification.
• Patience & Empathy: you understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
• A Heart for Teaching: a genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Part Time Special Education Instructor - One to One Learning

Must have LBS1
$30-40/hour

Flexible Schedule | No Lesson Planning or Outside Work | One-to-One Instruction

The special education teacher would use the provided curriculum (APEX Learning) and provide the accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP in order for the student to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs. We have a case manager that will handle the bulk of administrative duties, we really need someone who can focus on the individual in the classroom.
