Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is seeking qualified candidates for Part-Time Faculty to teach law courses within the Department of History, Political Science and Law. Opportunities include in-person, online, or hybrid delivery and a pool of candidates for future vacancies.

Minimum qualifications include a paralegal degree or a Bachelor’s in legal studies; a law degree or JD is preferred, with at least five years in the legal field and prior teaching experience being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, law degree or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Master’s or Juris Doctor degree preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the legal field is also preferred.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content; assess student learning; stay current in field.
• Refer students to college resources and complete professional development.
• Maintain ethics and professional conduct while teaching.
