Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Language Arts Instructor for its Pleasanton campus. The role involves teaching using our curriculum, engaging students, and managing small classes in language arts.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (education or humanities preferred), strong reading/writing/grammar knowledge, and prior K-12 teaching or tutoring experience. Teaching credentials are not required, and hours occur after school and on weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Bachelor's in education or humanities strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and grammar.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Teaching credential not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging curriculum using company materials.
• Engage students actively in class and student-led learning.
• Manage classrooms with up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests and assignments.
• Build relationships with students and families to support learning.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in language arts.
