Job summary

Addiction Health Center in North St. Paul, MN is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) to join our outpatient treatment team.

The role emphasizes facilitating engaging, evidence-based group therapy while maintaining a small, manageable caseload. Our program provides outpatient SUD services, including ASAM Level 2.1 IOP, with a focus on recovery, accountability, personal growth, and individualized treatment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Minnesota LADC license.
• Experience providing substance use disorder counseling.
• Knowledge of Minnesota Rule 245G, ASAM criteria, and clinical documentation requirements.
• Strong group facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and respond appropriately to challenging client behaviors.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured substance use disorder treatment groups for adults in outpatient and intensive outpatient programming.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions utilizing motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT-informed skills, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation.
• Encourage meaningful client participation and maintain a safe, respectful therapeutic environment.
• Complete accurate, individualized group documentation within established agency deadlines.
• Facilitate both in-person and virtual programming as assigned.
• Maintain a small assigned caseload and provide individual counseling as scheduled.
• Complete treatment plans, progress reviews, and other required clinical documentation.
• Monitor client treatment progress and identify barriers to recovery.
