Job summary

Requirements include RN licensure and IBCLC certification, plus 0-2 years of lactation experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state or eligible for compact licensure.
• IBCLC certification required.
• 0-2 years direct lactation consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized lactation care and coaching to breastfeeding dyads and pumping parents.
• Assess mother-infant needs; develop individualized lactation care plans.
• Teach positioning, latch techniques, breast care, and pumping strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Document patient interactions and outcomes per policy and regulatory standards.
• Attend deliveries and cesarean sections when needed to initiate lactation support.
