The Penn State College of Medicine Core Coagulation Reference Laboratory in Hershey, PA is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technologist to support advanced clinical and translational assays for patients with bleeding disorders. This role blends coagulation science, molecular diagnostics, and research methods to aid patient care and clinical studies.

The successful candidate will work with clinicians, research staff, and lab personnel to ensure accurate, timely testing, adherence to CLIA and CAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MLS/biology or related field.
• Certification within 18 months of hire.
• Experience performing high complexity laboratory procedures.
• Experience in CLIA-regulated and CAP-accredited lab environments.
• Knowledge of coagulation biology or hematologic disorders.

Responsabilités

• Perform specialized coagulation and hematology assays related to inherited and acquired bleeding and thrombotic disorders.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, storage, and documentation per lab protocols.
• Collect, interpret, and report data; troubleshoot assay performance.
