Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, biology, or a related field.
• Certification as Medical Lab Technician (ASCP/AMT/ACHI or equivalent) within 18 months of hire.
• Experience performing high complexity laboratory procedures.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow complex protocols accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized coagulation and hematology assays related to inherited and acquired bleeding and thrombotic disorders.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, storage, and documentation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Collect, interpret, and report experimental and clinical data; identify technical issues and troubleshoot assay performance.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, electronic data files, and test documentation per CLIA, CAP, and policies.
• Support translational and clinical research projects focused on bleeding disorders.
• Participate in laboratory meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to maintaining an efficient and organized laboratory environment.
