Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Medical Laboratory Science, biology, or related field.
• Certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Experience with high complexity laboratory procedures and techniques.
• CLIA and CAP regulated lab environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of coagulation biology or hematologic disorders.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized coagulation and hematology assays related to inherited and acquired bleeding and thrombotic disorders.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, storage, and documentation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Collect, interpret, and report experimental and clinical data; identify technical issues and troubleshoot assay performance.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, electronic data files, and test documentation in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and institutional policies.
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities.
• Adhere strictly to biosafety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Support translational and clinical research projects focused on bleeding disorders.
• Participate in laboratory meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to maintaining an efficient and organized laboratory environment.
