Job summary

Empirico is seeking a laboratory assistant to support routine chemistry operations at our Madison, WI site. This part-time, temporary position runs approximately 10-15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on need.

You will work alongside experienced scientists in a fast-paced biotech environment. Responsibilities include ordering and receiving reagents, inventory management, lab housekeeping, preparing solutions and buffers, and performing procedures using UV-Vis

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
• Enrolled in chemistry laboratory classes; experience performing routine laboratory assays and reagent preparation is a plus.
• Applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Ordering and receiving reagents and supplies.
• Laboratory inventory management.
• General laboratory housekeeping including dishwashing.
• Solution and buffer preparation.
• Performing laboratory procedures (training provided) using UV-Vis spectroscopy, HPLC, and MS.
