St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a part-time Research Services Technologist to provide clinical care for diverse lab animal species. The role is 24 hours per week with possible early morning or late evening shifts, offering scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities include animal health assessment, necropsy and euthanasia as applicable, and maintaining documentation. Prior animal care experience and potential ALAT certification within 18 months are required.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience in a professional animal care facility or equivalent education pathway.
• ALAT certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Experience with record-keeping software for documentation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and monitor lab animal health; triage emergencies as needed.
• Perform necropsy, euthanasia, and related procedures per area SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment/process issues; maintain logs and files.
• Maintain attendance and comply with institutional guidelines and SOPs.
• Communicate findings promptly to researchers and veterinarians.
