Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Davenport, IA is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor to oversee beneficiaries in the kitchen, manage inventory, menus, and canteen operations while supporting our rehabilitation program.

This part-time role offers $16.00 per hour and 20 to 29 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with on-the-job training in a mission-driven, team oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required.
• Kitchen management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols.
• Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning.
• Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries.
• Ensure compliance with Health Department policies.
• Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System.
• Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories.
• Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs.
