Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a part-time Dishwasher in Savannah, GA to support the kitchen and dining operations. You will manage the dishwashing area, maintain clean dishes and kitchen equipment, and assist in meal service as needed.

You should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to work under close supervision.
• Possess basic knowledge of kitchen operation and use of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to understand and retain simple instructions and apply them to position.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to tolerate temperature extremes, wet/humid conditions and noise.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.
• Must wear slip resistant footwear.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook in food preparation and presentation.
• Take care of the dishwashing area and ensure cleanliness of dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Set up and operate the dishwashing station and keep it clean.
• Clean pots and pans as needed.
• Assist with dining room service as needed, e.g. pouring beverages.
• Stock shelves and refrigerators with food items.
• Report problems in kitchen or dining room to supervisor.
• Attend in-service sessions and staff meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
