Job summary

Legends Global in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Dance Instructor to develop curricula and teach diverse classes for preschool to youth and adults. Availability on Saturday mornings is preferred, with potential for more styles and days. Must hold CPR and have knowledge of ballet, tap, and other dance forms.

The role offers paid lesson prep time, sick leave, and a starting rate of $21 per hour. Hours up to 25 per week, with some events outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• CPR certification (required).
• Knowledge of fine arts, dance, and training principles.
• Ability to employ group teaching strategies with music and technique.
• Commitment to safety and proper dance practices.
• Ability to motivate participants and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Instruct scheduled classes, start and end on time, teach dance skills.
• Lead dance instruction in a fun, technique-focused environment.
• Assist with productions and recitals, possibly outside normal hours.
• Maintain a positive, safe, nurturing environment for all ages.
• Prepare clear class objectives and detailed lesson plans.
