Job summary

Legends Global in Chicago seeks a part-time Dance Instructor to develop and deliver class curricula for preschool to youth and adults. You will teach ballet, tap, and other styles, with a focus on safety and positive participation, and you may assist with recitals at times.

The role requires Saturday morning availability, a current Red Cross CPR certification, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lessons.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Working knowledge of dance styles, especially ballet and tap.
• Ability to teach diverse age groups and adapt to skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Instruct scheduled classes, ensuring timely start and end times.
• Lead dance instruction in a positive environment.
• Assist with recitals and performances as needed.
• Maintain safety and a nurturing classroom.
• Prepare clear class objectives and lesson plans.
• Explain techniques and demonstrate movements to music.
