Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Compassion for animals and a commitment to their comfort, cleanliness, and well-being.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, including feeding directions, cleaning schedules, and patient care procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage frequent interruptions.
• Clear communication skills and a professional, courteous attitude toward clients and coworkers.
• Willingness to learn safe animal handling.
• Able to work around chemicals and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pets.
• Feed animals as directed and record intake.
• Monitor for distress and report concerns.
• Assist veterinarians and techs with restraint.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and safe chemical use.
• Sanitize cages, runs, and equipment weekly.
• Prioritize tasks and manage interruptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate services and health guidelines to clients.
