Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Summerville Animal Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama is seeking a Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians by cleaning, feeding, exercising, restraining and handling pets, while upholding high standards of care and client service.

As a Kennel Assistant, you will maintain a clean hospital environment, assist with pet restraint, monitor health and behavior, and help the team deliver compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals and cleaning chemicals.
• Lifting, standing, and frequent movement required.
• Occasional bending and crawling may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate care to pets
• Feeds animals as prescribed; records appetite and water intake
• Assists veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint
• Maintains cleanliness of hospital and cages; sanitizes surfaces
• Performs other duties as assigned
