Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time Jumpstart instructor to deliver pre-approved CSN Jumpstart classes at participating high schools in coordination with the CSN Dual Credit Office. You will lecture and lead lab sessions, assess student progress, and provide timely reports in line with school policy.

Preference for candidates with construction tech background and relevant licenses. Exempt status and fractional scheduling reflect the institution's commitment to flexible teaching

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pre-approved by the Department of Applied Technology before applying in Workday.
• At least 2 years of construction industry experience.
• CCSD Business and Industry License or Secondary Education Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Teach pre-approved CSN Jumpstart Classes at your high school in coordination with the CSN Dual Credit Office.
• Lecture and lab instruction
• Instruct students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives
• Independently grade and prepare progress reports in accordance with school policy.
• Evaluate the performance of students regarding achievements in curriculum and activities and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence with safety precautions.
