Job summary

Our Lady of Victory School in Compton, part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, seeks a part-time Junior High Math and Science Teacher to guide grades 5–8 with engaging, faith-based instruction and a focus on mathematical reasoning and scientific inquiry.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, a teaching credential or pursuing one, and prior middle school teaching experience. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus; commitment to Catholic education is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, mathematics, science, or a related field.
• Valid teaching credential and/or master’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Candidates enrolled in a teacher preparation program are welcome to apply.

• Provide a developmentally appropriate program for grades 5–8 that supports academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.
• Deliver engaging instruction and foster a positive learning environment.
