This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Responsibilities include efficiently cutting and processing a variety of meat products to maximize yield and gross profit according to Meat Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in required training, and teamwork to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Language Skills: Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and short correspondence in English; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information effectively to customers, vendors, and associates who speak only English.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, taste, or smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds frequently, with reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment: Constantly work in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level is moderate to loud.
