Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a Full-Time Job Coach to train and support participants in work-related skills within the community and store settings. The role focuses on one-on-one coaching at work sites and offsite locations to help employers tailor opportunities for participants.

Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field or related experience, plus coaching/teaching background. The position offers daytime hours with some evenings and weekends, plus benefits and retirement match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience coaching or teaching others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid Iowa driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct employment support to participants at work sites and offsite.
• Plans weekly employment coaching hours with supervisor.
• Motivates participants to achieve work goals.
• Facilitates skill development through rehabilitation methods.
• Assists participants in analyzing and resolving work-related problems.
• Communicates with participants, supervisors, and support teams through various channels.
• Uses Outlook to plan weekly/monthly schedules with team.
• Documents employment services within deadlines per guidelines.
• Performs data entry for services rendered.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with policies.
• Participates in training and meetings.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
