Job summary

Lincoln Airport Authority is seeking a Part-Time Janitor to maintain cleanliness at the LNK Airport Terminal and related facilities. Starting pay is $20.17 per hour, with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Additional shifts may be available as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking supplies, and following safety procedures. The role requires punctual attendance, the ability to work independently or in a team, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Weekend availability preferred and required for this schedule.

Introduction

The Janitor will maintain the cleanliness of the LNK Airport Terminal and other Lincoln Airport Authority facilities as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Perform a variety of cleaning and disinfecting duties.
• Ensure all supplies and essentials are stocked.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position.
• Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned at any time.

Education and Experience

• Lift and/or move up to 50lbs. utilizing safe and proper lifting techniques and equipment.

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment will be provided by the Lincoln Airport Authority.

Safety Requirements

Adherence to standards established in the LAA Employee Handbook, Airport Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other established safety requirements applicable to the position is required.

Work Environment

A majority of the work will be performed indoors with the general public. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Condition of Employment

The Employee is required to meet the above essential functions, skills, etc. The employee must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of pre-employment reference check, criminal history check (required by the Transportation Security Administration), physical assessment, drug screening, MVR (motor vehicle report), and other requirements as per Lincoln Airport Authority policy. Any associated costs for the screenings will be covered by the Lincoln Airport Authority. The employee must possess, when hired, and maintain a valid State of Nebraska driver’s license while employed, and be insurable under normal rates.
