When you work for Gateway Hudson Valley, you make a difference in people’s lives.Our Vision: To be a leader in supporting individuals as they strive to achieve a hopeful, satisfying, active, and contributing life.Part-time position.POSITION SUMMARYPerform janitorial assignments at Gateway Hudson Valley and off-site commercial and private locations.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the completion of assigned janitorial work within specified time frames and to specified quality levels of each contract.Inform the Supervisor Janitorial Services of all cleaning and personnel issues or needs.Act as a representative of Gateway and deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner.Responsible for all equipment and supplies assigned.Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved.Demonstrate positive work attitudes and habits as a role model.May be required to work alternate shifts with notice, which may or may not be permanent.Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized and safe manner.Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment.Perform work tasks in a safe manner, and do not take unsafe “short cuts”.Conduct daily inspections of immediate work area(s) to look for unsafe conditions.Ensure all accidents are promptly reported to immediate supervisor and Human Resources.Be familiar with the Safety and Health Accident Prevention Program and abide by all safety and health rules, work practices, and regulations.Responsible for understanding and adhering to Gateway Hudson Valley’s Corporate Compliance Policy and Standards of Conduct as well as all applicable program rules, regulations and policies.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience:N/ALicenses / Certifications:N/APREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High School or equivalentWORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to lift up to 60lbsMust be able to stand, walk, stoop and bendMust be able to sit or stand for 8 hours per dayREGULATORY CLEARANCES REQUIRED:Background checks are required.We are an EEO/AA employer.
