Job summary

AHEPA Senior Living- Des Moines, IA is seeking a Part-time Janitor to provide top-notch janitorial services across our senior housing communities. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe offices and residential areas, with duties including basic maintenance as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or higher, practical maintenance/janitorial experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher education.
• Technical school or equivalent maintenance, janitorial or grounds keeping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer and technical skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary for training.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to be flexible and receptive to diverse population.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• As a Part-time Janitor, you’ll provide top notch Janitorial services to the housing communities by:
• Ensuring that the offices, residential units, common areas and interior areas are cleaned and properly maintained according to specified guidelines.
• Demonstrating the ability to move items as necessary and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
• Performing some maintenance duties as necessary.
